Default Ethnic composition of Latin America at the end of the 18th century

I was surprised by how Black Brazil used to be(It is crowded with pardos now) and by the huge amount of indigenous people in Mexico.
Not all countries are included btw

Yes, me too. Mexican indigenous were like 60% of the population.
On the other hand, the Colombian census said 25% Whites in 1900.

It's probably wrong if its by 1825, at least for Chile.

The statistcis by the Santiago Bishop's enrolment from the 1770's number arround 190.000 whites (but i'm assuming that being Chile just mean light skinned people), 20.000 mestizos (dark skinned people that are spanish speaking), 22.000 natives (tho keep in mynd that this is from Copiapó to Maule, so there could be slighty more) and 25.000 "blacks" (which could be more mulattoes or quadroons than actual blacks). The government of Chiloé counts arround 26.000 and it's pretty even between natives and whites (up until this day it's one of the most native leaning part in the country).

The bishop's count in the sputhermost by that time from 1812 gives 181.000 whites, 22.000 natives and 7.000 blacks, mulattoes and mestizos. Although this from Maule to Osorno. The rest of the country which it's in the 1813, sums arround 400.000 people. but the etnic results are dispersed in this PDF and i've been not able to copilate it as a data base.

2-. the 3rd paragraph information is a gross resumen from the page n° 260.

There was not a Colombian Census from that year.

Self proclaimed Whites were 17% of population in 1851 Census and 34% in 1912 Census (not many immigrants in that period so I assume there was a cultural 'blanqueamiento').

Why? it's true after all, yet today date average Mexican Is more European than your average Peruvian, I supposed this has to do with colonial racism or marriage preferences In a country that did not received European Immigration after Independence I don't see other logical reason as I explained, Mexico as whole should've been Indomestizo average but Isn't.

Not entirely. During the colonial era New Spain gradually left all other dependencies behind as far as economic prospects were concerned, so it naturally attracted more peninsular immigration than the rest of the empire.

If you get someone credentialed, please tell him/her to get you this paper: The Great Shift: the rise of Mexico and the Decline of Peru in the Spanish American Colonial Empire, 1680–1809*

I don't think that's completely true, After Independence Spaniards were not welcome to Mexico many recent Spanish families that came to Mexico were killed In Guanajuato, Michoacan etc.

And In regards to the huge Indigenous population I have two theories that one I mentioned or massive mixing started happening from all the books I've read the colonial white population of New Spain was always put 19-21% which Is a bit higher than the current "white" population today 12-15%
