Default Post things to do on a city.

As we have many travelers here, it would be cool for members to recommend interesting (and often overlooked) destinations for people who are visiting or moving somewhere.

Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, has a rich cultural and historical heritage that offers many interesting destinations for visitors and expats. Here are a few often overlooked destinations worth exploring:

Matka Canyon: Located just outside the city, Matka Canyon is a beautiful natural wonder with crystal-clear waters, stunning cliffs, and hiking trails for all levels.

The Museum of Macedonian Struggle: This museum chronicles the history of North Macedonia's struggle for independence and features exhibits on the country's cultural heritage, political movements, and key figures in the fight for autonomy.

Stara Carsija (Old Bazaar): This historic bazaar is a vibrant marketplace featuring traditional handicrafts, textiles, and food. Visitors can explore the winding streets, admire Ottoman architecture, and sample local cuisine.

Skopje Aqueduct: Built during the Roman Empire, the Skopje Aqueduct is an impressive architectural feat that spans the Vardar River. Visitors can walk or bike along the aqueduct and take in stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

Daut Pasha Hamam: This historic Turkish bathhouse is a beautiful example of Ottoman-era architecture, and visitors can relax in the hot tubs and steam rooms while enjoying traditional massages and treatments.

The Millennium Cross: Standing atop Mount Vodno, the Millennium Cross is a towering monument that offers panoramic views of Skopje and the surrounding mountains. Visitors can hike or take a cable car to the top for breathtaking vistas.

The Museum of Contemporary Art: This modern museum showcases the best of North Macedonia's contemporary art scene and features rotating exhibits of painting, sculpture, and multimedia installations.

La Plata: If you visit the Bosque, you visited everything. It has a beautiful lake, the stadiums of both Gimnasia and Estudiantes, the universities and the natural sciences museum.

    The Cathedral is nice too.

Valencia: Most People go to Barcelona, Ibiza or Madrid but Valencia is one of the most beautiful spanish cities. Also, it hosts my favorite spanish team:

Edinburgh: Most people seem to think the only city in Scotland is Glasgow but the capital is one of my favorite cities in the world, there's a bar in every corner. My dream come true.

Belgrade: Despite the negative propaganda, serbs are one of the warmest and friendly people I've ever met. Beautiful women, safety and cheap prices make it a must for every traveler.

Always prioritize your safety and respect local customs and traditions while enjoying your time in Mexico.
