Last month, Samantha Power the head of USAID and advisor in the Obama-Biden Administration on issues such as: democracy promotion, LGBTQ+ and women’s rights, global curruption, atrocity prevention, etc. visited Hungary. USAID recently relaunched its work in several countries in Central Europe, including Hungary, where programs support :" independent Hungarian partner organizations working to protect the rule of law, strengthen democratic institutions and civil society, and support independent media."

There are critical voices, claiming money can be used to fund media backed by the U.S.A, disguised as independent and foment a Colour revolution/ regime change. A reason for toppling could be Hungary's reluctance regarding the Ukrainian- Russian war. Hungary refused a full support to Ukraine by not sending weapons, which can be seen as "refusing to bend the knee to the US".

There is a loud minority who hate Orbán, but there are no big demonstrations, neither during this economic crisis. The Orbán government is very stable.

Not nearly as much, and not nearly as conspiratory. Do you think all things should be considered equal? As in all people, all political groups, all causes equally good/evil?
