I have to admit, my county of Australia, which I love, has a serious LARPing problem on TA. Australians just can't be content with being Australians, they have to act like they are "Irish", "English", "Greek", etc. They even have the nerve to act like they are the spokespeople for these countries. They are really just bored Australians. In truth, Americans and Canadians don't LARP nearly as much despite all the vitriol directed at them on this forum. They will just say I'm "Canadian" or I'm "American." It's like Australians are not full invested in Australia so they have to play these online roles. I won't name names but I think some of you know exactly the people I'm talking about .

If someone ask my nationality, I always say Australian, not Macedonian.

Australia is third world with world class resources that makes money go around and around. Resources, construction and engineering, retail, banking.

I don't know who OP is meaning but Australians aren't larpers in that even with recent ancestry from somewhere else they still call themselves Australian. For myself even though I've spent the majority of my life in Australia I was born in Ireland and have spent time there over the years. I would feel a larper if I didn't acknowledge my Irish birth. I'm fortunate to have dual citizenship. I don't understand people who don't want to acknowledge their origins and pretend their birth country doesn't exist. Otherwise OP is not talking from experience of actually living in Australia because it's fairly obvious they aren't from Australia so they actually are the only one larping here.
