The Scots, Ulster-Scots and French basically explored the entire North America. The Spanish explored most of the south west. Look at a map of the US and Canada and you will see plenty of Scots names of rivers and landmarks.

Spanish have nothing to do in this question even if you are completely wrong about what Spanish explored in USA.

If we go for explorations as example of something, these can not compete with being native as the Amerindians are.

And impossible that Scottish influenced Texas or New Mexico or Florida or California more than Amerindians have done. Amerindians spread the cowboy culture, the rancho style life, cattle, etc etc. Do you imagine Texas without cows, horses and cowboys, without the Mex food or colonial architecture?

This is so stupid. Cowboy culture, ranches, etc. isn't originally part of Amerindian culture.

I knew this was a strange question, but now I see what CV is trying to do. The origins of cowboy culture, ranches, etc. come from Spain (new Castile and parts of Andalusia) and so this his way of over emphasizing Spanish influence on American culture cuz... 'muh people did stuff.' Mexicans (not actually Amerindians but he's stupid) would be a 'two degrees of separation' type of retarded argument.

I'm talking about explorers and such. Look at the leaders of the Texas war against Mexico. Most came from Kentucky and Tennessee which is full of Scots-Irish. Even things like American music has its roots in Scot and Irish folk music.

They gave a lot to American culture but are never talked about.

Bluegrass, country, blues and rock all have some roots along with blacks. Blacks have been here a long time so of course added to the culture.
