Australia or New Zealand - which do you prefer?

New Zealand has a nicer climate, Australia is too hot… we have bushfires every year which is God’s way of telling us that much of our land is not really suitable for human habitation.

The Australian government also doesn’t seem to care about its citizens, importing too many immigrants and not banning foreigners from buying property which has made houses in Sydney unaffordable due to a shortage. New Zealand was great in quickly banning foreigners from buying property and they’re not stuck in the mess Australia is having with housing.

On the down side, New Zealand has a BIG problem with biker gangs on the north island. Also, I wouldn’t want to witness all the mistreatment of sheep by those New Zealanders.

New Zealand:

(1) I like rugby union. (2) I would find the climate much more agreeable. (3) I find the Maori element interesting and different, but at the same time the British element is strong enough so that it is still pretty familiar.

True, but NZ is hardly better in that respect, being on the Earthquake Ring of Fire. Remember what happened to Christchurch in 2011. Even though it's a bit too hot and dry I often feel as though where I live is one of the safest places on earth from cataclysmic disaster.
