Using nukes would lead to a global series of political actions I don't want even imagine. Said this, I hope that Russia and Ukraine start negotiations asap, but I have undersyood that Russia wants the whole Dombas before it and we have a dilemma, because Ukraine obviously don't trust that this is enough. We need a middleman. If China could do it, it would be great, but before it China and USA have to make a deal of it

I personally think using tactical nukes has a major problem that is not about morality but Ukraine could also have such nukes from the west to retaliate Russia and then nuclear war will extend to the whole Russia and Europe at least. It is indeed urgent to at least ceasefire for a while and start a talk, and tune the heat of war down a bit. I do not think Ukraine can sustain such a war for more years even with endless weapon supports because once mobilised, Russia`s army and ammunitions will be flooding them eventually. China should think about to help realize a temporal ceasefire for a talk before peace can realize between the fighting parties. Zelensky wanted Ukraine to become a second Vietnam but he might have forgotten Russia is not democratic like the US back then, Putin probably will decisively destroy Ukraine at all cost. Also to oust Russia leadership without incursion into Russia is also impossible and in such case civil wars will also ensue without predictable consequences, all in favor of the USA and at the cost on the world. I also think to ensure Putin stopping at Eastern Ukraine is no longer a practical concern anymore, rather to stop the war as soon as possible. When the ceasefire happened, things will be better in spite of all worries.

Statically speaking, you are correct, because according to previous conflicts, wars that last for more than one year tend to drag for about 10 years before they end. Using tactical nukes in Ukraine would end the war much quicker, but it could start another much worse. The West will not tolerate Russia using nukes in Ukrainian territory, because if Russia uses nukes and the West looks the other way, China will feel comfortable in invading Taiwan, a major Western ally in the East. Then Russia will feel comfortable in invading the Baltic States, then other "evil axis" States will feel comfortable putting foward their own nuclear programmes, and so on. The truth is one: Russia lost the war the minute it crossed into Ukrainian territory, for they did not anticipate the West's quick retaliation to their actions and they did not anticipate how bravely Urakainians would fight for their homeland.

weaken Europes economy.

I support Russia in this conflict.

I'm not naive, and know that not everything is black or white, since I know Russians also have their share of "selfishness" and own interests in the dombas other than just defending the Russian/Russian speaking population from Dombas (like Dombas being very rich in industry and natural resources), but if I have to pick which side is more evil, and which side is more right, the west (who were the ones who started all this) is the more selfish/evil side, and Russia is more on the right side.

However, I think tactical Nuking Ukraine would be very harmful to Russians themselves, being Ukraine geographically so close to them (radiation).
