I doubt it, I don't think the Freemasons have gone after a girl who would later be famous worldwide for her disappearance, I think they go more for people who are not of that size.

Basing on above infos, this is an Eerie case. scent of death alerted at three different locations and one scent of life/blood only once at the window. Since a common criminal would sure leave his/her scent as either blood or life, but only one location; however the scent of death at 3, as if the cadaver moved more agilely than the supposed criminal. If a criminal knew so well to cover his/her scent, then he/she must have been a very versatile criminal, so the scent of blood could be Madeleine`s. In this case Madeleine could have been killed at the sofa and then once been put into the closet, thus leaving the second alert, but soon carried to the back patio and leaving the third alert. But the second hypothesis needs a criminal knows how to cheat the hunds, however, such a vesatile criminal probably would be OK to leave dead body behind since carrying a body out risks sightings. Therefore witness testimonies will be crucial, but so far nothing meaningful come out.
