Canada west of Quebec is similar to the Northern states of the US. I think both have more in common with each other than either do with the states of the former Confederacy though.

I'm from Loudoun and I spent most of my life near the blue ridge. That's not "Nova". Richmond is gay but not northern. It just sucks and so do most cities. Richmond is like Memphis.
