Other UP paleo "Cro Magnons", besides Bichon, were not as removed than WHG groups (Villabruna cluster), but Bichon is more like a mesolithic than UP, it's in the transitional period. What really counts is what is more removed to Afrians and East Asians/Amerindians/Oceanians and WHG are the most of them all.
It's also clear when tested against Basal eurasian. Surprisingly (or not) even ANE has a higher possible range of basal than ENF for example. Steppe ancestry is a lot more basal than people think, even in that Samara model everyone uses lately. It shows essentially the more WHG anything is mixed with, will come out less basal.
