No doubt about it. Homo Erectus was roaming Eurasia everywhere that was possible half a million year ago. In East Asia they remained the dominant species for much longer time than in Europe or even the Middle East where Sapiens and Neanderthals replaced them for a long time already. 100k years ago there were still Erectus in China, with even smaller brains than elsewhere. Hopefully for East Asia they finally got replaced but it's a lot more recent than people would imagine compared to the rest of the world.
