In recent days, the European Court of Auditors (ECA) has put the subject on the table by making an unprecedented proposal: to integrate the cost of animal suffering into the price of transport and, ultimately, into the price of meat.

So, there would be a tax for animal suffering. But it is totally crazy that this report is focused on sufferings during transportation, not on slaughter conditions (apart from favouring mobile abattoirs) and there is, especially, not a word on ritual (Islamic/Jewish) slaughter, which causes horrible sufferings and which is extremely widely spread.

The woke are deadly serious and cite labs that already grow animal cells that produce meats, which, like electric cars, will be mandated purchases when slaughterhouse meat and gas are outlawed. Even insects may be off menu when they grow their cells.
