Happlogroup I-P109

Hi all. My great uncle made a DNA test and I uploaded his rawdata on Geneanet to get his paternal haplogroup. His haplogroup is I-P109. Does anybody know anything about this haplogroup? His father was Russian with a Russian surname so I assume his paternal line was Russian.

I started a quick google search and read that 23.5% of Russians from South and Central Russia have haplogroup I. That´s exactly where his father was born. I think it´s the same haplogroup we are talking about.
