Transylvania looks nothing like Turkey but the rest of the country does look very much so. I'd say Istanbul have a unique vibe too, there are other big cities in Turkey that have their own specific but the living districts look very similar and you are right, in Greece they looks similar too. The old architecture in Romania had different styles, depending on the region but, apart from Transylvania, much of it was destroyed in communism era. In the southern parts of the country especially, both new and old style of buildings are similar to the ones in Turkey. You can still find these ottoman and byzantine inspired type of architecture called Romanian National Style (or Brancovenesc style).

Carrying on.
Not directly related to the buildings which appear in the video, but if we talk in general, there were some constructions (some still exist) in Bucharest which had Oriental influence. I cannot tell how much this weights in creating the impression of familiarity for someone from Turkey. Maybe when walking through the old town, they would notice it and it adds to the feeling.
Hanurile/ Inns:https://bucharestunknown-blogspot-co..._x_tr_pto=wappOriginating from the oriental caravanserais, they housed the merchants coming from abroad together with their servants, animals and goods. Rectangular in shape, with thick walls, and a single opening protected by heavy gates, the inns opened only to the inside, where vaulted ramparts were strung around the courtyard, with deep cellars below them for storing valuable goods and sleeping rooms on the upper floor.
Example: Hanul lui Manuc/ Manuc's Inn in present time:

Basically everything contructed in the Brancovenesc style is of ottoman inspiration. Funny cause Brancovenesc style is the only "authentic" architectural style we have. Is the only one attested to be in local Romanian style.
