You observed wrong. If you mean the Russian member, they're against everything west European. Not sure if they have something against Catholics. Apart from that I don't think I've seen any comment from other easterners. The Orthodox church accepts marriages between Catholics and Orthodox, something that the Catholic church does not accept.

We have only issues with Catholic clergy in Croatia, not elsewhere, and not againt ordinary people.

Catholic clergy in Croatia supported mass crimes and genocide against Serbs in WW2.

Many fanatical Catholic priests joined the Ustaše, blessed and supported their work, and participated in killings and conversions.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genoci...%20conversions.

Catholic nuns led concentration camp for Serbian children.

Some Croatian Catholic priests even killed Serbs by their own hands.

South Americans often seem to lack basic knowledges. I dunno any European Catholics who have no clue about Orthodoxy, no matter negative or positive atittude.

It's not true that the Catholic Church doesn't accept marriages with non-Catholic Christians, with Orthodox, cf. canon 1124:

By the way, my cousin got married with his Orthodox Bulgarian wife in a Catholic church.

I don't know how it is in Belgium but I can tell you for a fact that in Italy it is impossible. To marry a Catholic you need to convert.

No acceptance of Pope as head of Church (there's no living man as a head of Church, but Jesus Christ) + heretical ideas like Filioque, like Saint Spirit comes both from Father and Son, not just Father, plus heretical idea of immaculate conception of the Holy Mother of God (only His conception was immaculate) + heretical idea of the infallibility of the pope, living person cannot be sinless. We don't recognize Catholic sacraments except for baptism.

Normally Orthodox Church shouldn't accept it, too. But lots of modernist tendencies entered Church not just yesterday, but few centuries ago. It's enough for me just not to follow those tendencies myself, it won't affect my salvation.

Apart from the differences in the role and meaning of the Pope, I didn't know about the other differences. I need to read up about this
