Now that surely is an exaggeration. There are around 1.5 million Salvadorans in the US, and the number of Guatemalans and Hondurans is not too far off either.

All Central Americans combined are just under 10% of US Hispanics. Hispanics are 19% of USA. So take 10% of 19% and you get just under 2%. According to Google, Bolivians alone are 5.4% of Argentina. But I just checked the official stats and they're much less than that over there. So I guess they are similar in percentage officially (1.5-2%).

Amerindian is a characteristic Latin American racial element, but is not the majoritarian racial element in most Latin American countries. And like a half of the Latin American countries have total Euro input in their respective gene pools of at least 50% or above.

The only countries where Amerindian contribution is well above 50% are Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.

Then Mexico, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Honduras are close to 50% Amerindian (maybe slightly above 50% Amerindian), and that's it.

Panama, Costa Rica, Chile and Paraguay aren't more than 40% Amerindian

Venezuela, Colombia and Argentina aren't more than 30-35% Amerindian

Uruguay isn't more than 20% Amerindian

Brazil isn't more than 15% Amerindian

And finally, DR, Cuba and PR are equal or less than 10% Amerindian.

PS: and actually Ecuador is probably not as heavily Amerindian as Guatemala, Peru and Bolivia, and wouldn't be that far (but still somewhat more Amerindian) from Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua.
