was just the answer that people don't have to have any genetic connection to feel in a way *closer* to each other.

it was never about importance of anything, or any ethnicities, but since you brought it up, well, everything is important, as it is for most people.

however, a Hungarian or Austrian descendant from Slavonija is *closer* to me than a third generation Belarus from Oklahoma. it is absurd to even discuss this.

Have lot of friends among northern Kajkavian Croats, and I still find them more "southern" and collectivist mentally than Magyars/Slovenes. They are very extravert, like to party, religious and folksy.

Yes Budapest is very dirty nowadays, but it was clean when only germans, jews and hungarian nobles lived here. Gypsies make Budapest dirty, they are the main reason, secondly the north hungarian migrants (from Borsod, Heves, Nógrád) also do that. Their crime rate is very high.

Stears mother's home county Somogy is rather poor but has very large Gypsy concentration. I don't think Zala or Baranya are much different from what I've heard.

Yes I think they have more. But Baranya and SW Hungary have more than Alfoldi counties if I am not mistaken.

Of course Bács Kiskun is richer because its closer to Budapest and Baranya has much larger gypsie population.

I've received a strange surprised rep comment from a person of such formation, related to my earlier msg They call natural hospitality as "help with food".

My sister had weird experience with Dutch people. In 90s she went there as guest exchange from her uni. The first ones to come here were the Dutchies, one Dutch nerd lived at us and was shocked to be treated so good (he said his mom won't believe he was eating caviar), he lived at our place, got all the home cooked food, he was taken anywhere he wanted to, I mean it's ok. And it was like this in majority of Russian families towards them. When my sis and her uni mates came to Holland, they were offered to go to some damn condominium and Dutchies barely gave a damn about them. They had to travel themselves, no meals and stuff, in one of the last evenings they went all together to restaurant with Dutchies and didn't take any money with them on intention, when in the end of the evening Dutchies realized they have to pay, some of them literally started like crying.

The opposite, my sis had very good experience with French family, they're still in contact, I remember them well, too as they visited Moscow out of exchange program to visit us.
