Default I Wish I Had Spent the Last 16 Years Tabletop Role-Playing.

    But I haven't.

I haven't rolled dice in the pursuit of roleplay even once.

    --

I wish I had a library full of ttrp books. But I don't.

    --

I would that I were reading a World of Darkness book right now, while sipping hot chocolate. I'm not.

    --

I once came close to achieving it - being a tabletop role-player, I mean.

    --

Even if I had spent the last sixteen years just reading ttrp books, no actual role-playing - that would be just as wonderful.

Anything is a tabletop roleplay if you sit at a table and imagine hard enough

I know but there is a whole ttrp subculture I have missed out on.

    --

A few times in college I saw the ttroleplayers walking through the adjoining public park at twilight - sharing a doobie - on the way to the biweekly games night of our college's ttrp club (hosted on campus).

    I envied them so much.

    I envied them their socializing.

And I envied them their senses of self - because I often fantasize about having a sense of self which heavily revolves around ttroleplaying.*

    * I made the assumption that ttroleplaying is important in each of their lives (because that is exactly what I was wanting for myself, psychologically).

Everyone wants meaning in their life.

I often wish ttroleplaying were mine.
