Whole history of humankind is an endless chain or wars for various reasons and natural competition, that's naive way of thinking of you. I'm not a fan of Turkish state, but it's really not "worse" or "better" than any other existing states with long history and periods of being strong Empire.

Wait, they really voted for Erdogan in the earthquake affected zone?

That one is a general indicator for loss of faith in humanity, not just for the idiocy of this certain electorate.

Erdogan and his government are directly responsible for this, and they still vote for him... Under what reasoning?

I'm glad Erdogan is winning. Between him, Putin, Iran and Saudi they will sort out the Middle East, and rehabilitate Assad too. US is out, troublemaker out.

Lol you think so? Sounds a bit harsh But you know your people the best. A pro-Russian Turkey is really very important to Russia and helps Russia withstand the attacks from the West on its economy.

It looks like Georgia is being reserved already as some kind of tampon state

You forget the Jews and to a lesser extent the Kurds. US is firmly embedded in ME and won't leave anytime soon.
