Also the Spanish seem to have more regular chisled features, the women are better looking and the cops also looked a lot more attractive both male and female. I saw a lot of Portuguese with lighter hair though, even a decent number of redheads but obviously it wouldn't be more than 3% of locals.
Do you think Portuguese have more light hair than average Spaniards from your observations?

Difference in height is most likely caused by poverty and nutrition. Lisbon, for example, is MUCH poorer compared to Madrid. There are some features however, also noticed by physical anthropologists long before, that are probably related to different ENF groups settling (to imagine they all came in one wave and spoke related languages ancestor of Iberian/Basque is ridiculous): for example that very brunet component with convex nose in Portuguese that seems to me transitional to North Africans. Footballer Louis Suarez is a great example (this phenotype obviously occurs in Spaniards too, but at lower rate)!

ENF element in Castilians is evidently the same as that in French and similar to that of Greeks and Italians with some peculiarities (great finesse in facial features both in men and women).

I have seen no Portuguese with hair lighter than medium brown: even children are mostly black/very dark brown hair.

Because it is, not to mention they age very well (they don't have to be teens to look good)... Look at person like Marisa Tomei for example. This is the face of (gorgeous) Spanish women:

When I was in the bus travelling from Madrid to Burgos a woman that was next to me looked like a twin. But not all Spanish women look Iberian: Kelts also had their influence. I also saw beautiful rosy-skinned, blue eyed French faces too...

Thanks for your answer, Madrid feels a lot posher and smarter than Lisbon, it is telling that far more Portuguese stay long term in London than Spanish who find the welfare in Spain better despite unemployment. Portugal has some blonder people but as far as I noticed no very yellow or platinum blonde, if anything the Portuguese look more gracile than the Spanish.

You look like The Man of Elche.

I guess locals assumed you were one of them.

I already posted my own opinion on exactly WHY Gracile Med is most attractive. But for some reason I asked a mod to delete it (and they did, thank you).

You are one of (if not the) most scientific posters here, so I am really interested in your opinion and pretty unsatisfied with "it is because it is".

If you post something more insightful, I will repost what I thought about it.

I think you're referring to people with the Trans Mediterranid phenotype.

I personally don't like Gracile Meds because it's a phenotype more common among low class and trashy people, more often than not of foreign origin.
I meant, men think gracile med is the most attractive phenotype for women.

I do think that, but maybe it's just a personal preference. There's not only one standard of beauty in the world so every single one of us is biased somehow.
