    People are ignorant about phenotypes, they think that blondes are automatically from northern Europe and brunettes from Southern Europe, that is especially the case with northern Euros who are less racially aware. Poles don't look like the English just because many have blonde hair, the Irish also are often too alpine to look English imo.

    Maybe it's because some young people find it more fun to be mistaken for Polish and not so obviously English.
