As of 31 December 2021, Portugal had 10,421,117 inhabitants.[1]

There are about 52,000 Romani people in Portugal.[24] (this number is probably higher, some estimates go up to 100.000)

Afro Portuguese are at least 300.000 (but there are not official stats about this, I'm just quoting an estimate from a from a few decades back, now that number has been scrubbed and officially down to 150.000 since they removed the ones already born in Portugal from that group..the real number is very probably higher than the 300.000.

Also portuguese nationals from other ex colonial or partly colonial backgrounds are surely over 100.000 imo, well over I would say.

In 1992, 1.3% of the population was foreign, by 2021 the number had grown to almost 7% or 698,887 people.[33]

During this period, 321,614 people (3.09% of the current Portuguese population) obtained Portuguese citizenship according to the latest Eurostat data. These people are not counted among foreigners (see above table) as they are Portuguese citizens in all respects.[35]

Given that list is nationality, not country of birth, is it thus likely that at least some of those with Spanish and Italian nationality are Latin Americans who either have those ancestries or previously lived in those countries?

I don't think so, since their first nationality is from their country of birth. Besides it's a no brainer there are at least that number of spaniards living here, we share a long border afterall. The italian expat community is also sizeable and has increased exponentially over the past 7-8 years (many retirees).
