Except some possible ancestry from Soviet Soldiers. It´s not that unusual. He could have some minor Turanid, maybe from Central Asia. Well, West Germans didn´t mix much with modern immigrants neither. Unless you have an immigrant father or mother:
He doesn't look German too me. Epicanthic folds and wide nasal root means he has some Dinarid in him.
