    She was great, but other female singers represented the rock genre better than she did. She was a rock singer in the "Rolling Stone" sense of the word, but she definitely was one of the best pop singers of the '80s, and she even praised White male singers during the taping of "We Are The World", so she wasn't a diva (the bad kind).

    It is one thing to have that kind of vocal power, it is another to know how to use it to maximize its effect.

    Singing and talking are not the same thing..
