    Unless I'm interpreting the lyrics wrong, Puff changed the meaning from stalker song to love song. That makes it worse in my opinion, loses it's edge. And nothing he does musically adds anything compelling, more like he is riding on the excellent riff and refrain. Actually as I wrote this (I'm listening to it while I write), there is a moment there, at about 2:52s, a brief melody appears, song by the woman, that part is good. The rest just sort of passes by and disappears -- like a Puff of smoke.

    I think the original is far better.
