Mama Cass is much better than Linda Rondstat !

Given the choice, I think I would rather listen to Mama Cass than caterwauling Linda Ronsdstat any day of the week! Mama Cass knew how to stay within her own range and she didn't need to belt out her voice constantly. Linda Rondstat is just painful to listen to. God Bless Mama Cass for she knew how to deliver a song and leave you wanting more. I think she was very underrated as a vocalist! I can't stand Linda Rondstat and I'm sorry to say, but I think we can all be relieved she can't make any more records. She completely butchered Roy Orbison's beautiful "Blue Bayou". She sounds like she's having her tonsils removed on that one.


I wouldn't mind hearing Mama Cass sing that song. I'm surprised I was upset over a singer that died before I was even born. I don't hate Mama Cass, and neither should you!
