    Maybe not very slavic, but it does sound pretty much shifted towards slavic languages. Scroll to 0:44 to hear the sentences.

    I agree it sounds Slavic in places.

    Does Sanskrit account for it?

    I think it descends from a different branch/indo-aryan ancestor? But if you imply because it's more "pure", then yes. Thats much the case

    I figured the Slavicisms I heard were Sanskritisms that were read out.

    For me, it sounds like how Kurds speak Russian. I have seen a few in Antalya and their accent and tone sound close to this.
