How do you guys feel about Mormons?

Prayers don't help anything they don't solved catastrophes or help cure diseases, there no scientific evidence of a "god" out there, at this point with current technology should have enough evidence don't you think?

But from a scientific stand point, I do believe there's a superior being out there who created the universe and everything like the big bang Impossible for the big bang to born out of "nothing".

You think with our current technology we should have evidence of God? I don't think so. We have a long way to go and to me science especially physics is progressing way too slow.

lol but mormons believe some wacky things, like Jesus visited the "ancient Americas" and all native americans were white until they were punished (can't remember why). They also have some weird ideas about heaven and what not. My brother and my messianic jew friend are telling me to stay away. But how nice the mormons are is quite infectious

Whatever, all religions are mythological...it might offer some social and economic advantages if you adhere to Mormonism, so why not...

I love Mormons as they contribute enormously and in an unselfish way to the the preservation and accessability of church records and genealogical data. As an ancestry researcher, I owe them a lot and the other churches, Protestant and Catholic, posessing their own records, should be ashamed for their ignorant and uncultural behavior.

By frequencing their institutions for decades I was never targeted for mission (seems to be regarded taboo in that context).

I prefer out of affection to the Mormons not to comment on the content of the book of Mormon.

You need to elaborate better on what you mean. At least in the Portuguese case, it is only possible to trace a family tree through the baptismal records of the Catholic Church, which are digitized and available online for anyone to consult for free. The records can also be physically requested at the Torre do Tombo National Archive. I don't know how it works in other countries.
