Which german-speaking region is more conservative austria or eastern germany?
In popular estimate, austria is conservative or moderately conservative, so is eastern germany, or people tend to believe they are.... So I ask

Austria (excluding Vienna) is far more conservative than eastern Germany. Eastern Germany isn't conservative at all. It's just rather nationalist and xenophobic (for German standards, that is).

Hard to say, because i have never been to East Germany, so i choose the austrian countryside.
