I am curious that what do TA users think about EU membership.

I think EU is a good idea, but I don't agree with everything Eurocrats believe in. I don't think "United States of Europe" is a good idea. EU should be a loose economic union where individual countries have decent amount of freedom. My ancestors fought against other empires trying to annex our country, so why should I now welcome losing freedom?

Free movement, duty free zone and common VAT would be enough. Everything more increases burocracy. I don't support any attempt to collect common taxation. I don't object income redistribution inside EU, but it can result in corruption of financial system.

I think EU should have 2 autonomous regions, EU-West and EU-East. Free movement, trade and socio-political unions within regions but controlled between regions. Unity for the rest -Mutual defence, foreign policy and financial stability. That would make EU more bearable for nations.

What do you care about the European Union? You're Turkish and Asian. Well, since you've spoken out, I want to, too. The EU is needed from Lisbon to Vladivostok. The task is to make the European region safe from Asian countries, including Turkey and the United States. Prohibit migration from Central Asia, Arab countries and Africa. Develop national regions. Prohibit interracial marriages with Asians and Africans. Ban gays and transgender people. The new EU should become an oasis, a lifeline for Europeans.
