I think so yes. Language, social cues and way of life would basically be the same.

That then is due to the fact that the United States, even with all its differences with the United Kingdom, is an Anglo country and even shares a bit of culture with the United Kingdom than the latter with other European countries no matter how close they are geographically and ethnically.
