You have essentially all subraces in Germans, in recombinations resulting in a notable variety of phenotypes. Also smaller contributions in the gene pool then will pop up here and there as outliers.

Egon Krenz was the chief of the GDR for some decisive months in 1989 and there is nothing more spectacular known than that he is a German that hails from a particular town in Farther Pomerania.
