It is very difficult to lead a country. They need reliable and loyal people. I would do exactly the same as Orban. Surround yourself with friends.

As far as I'm not a politician or ruler I prefer to concentrate on things I'm responsible for and I can have influence on. But normally I'm an adherent of pre Peter I Muscovite type of monarchy, described by Ivan Solonevich in his works.

It's ok in some societies. Progressive Saakashvili who was praised and still praised in the Western realm put all his friends and relatives around him. It's logical in a small society where everyone literally knows everyone and family ties are important.

This is partly true. In the 90' years the ex conservative party, called MDF, became weaker year by year, and the Fidesz adopted the MDF's position on right side because of power vacuum.
The first Orbán government (1998-2002) was the best period in the hungarian democracy. Even the liberals admit it. After that, there was 8 years leftist rule (2002-2010) with a classic authoritarian post-communist government and bad economy policy. At this time the far right started to organize a putsch to overthrow the government. The hotsport was in 2006, when the leftist president Ferenc Gyurcsány admitted that Hungary is on the verge of bankruptcy, they stole and lied all the time, so the chaos has been unleashed. These far right paramilitary groups besiged Budapest and the government buildings, they burned the city. The police response was brutal, they beat everyone on the streets including any average citizen like 80 years old elders, or they shot peoples. My family has left the Budapest at this time. So this bloody street fights lasted for 1 year. Orbán was impressed by this huge far right power demonstration as well. In 2010 they won the election, Orbán gived amnesty for political prisoners, and he adopted the far right narative.
Orbán now is 100% real, he is not secretly liberal or agent, but a fanatic Left hater.

If it is so, he does nothing wrong, why not getting money if Western cucks are ready to provide them? That's pragmatic realpolitik.
