I can’t believe someone can claiming this seriously, North Korea is suppressing Christians by the way. It is a scray dicatorship where most people never ate a banana but the leader is fatter than Jabba. I suggest that human rights defenders do not interfere in the affairs of foreign countries, but look at themselves.

There are churches in North Korea. I don't know to what extent Christians are being persecuted, I'm sure it's very possible and occurs. One thing we need to take into account, is American propaganda too, who want to portray Kim Yong Un as some Christian slayer, in order to make South Koreans fearful and hateful towards North Korea (many South Koreans are Christian).

According Open Doors, an international Christian aid organisation North Korea is in first place if it comes to persecution of Christians, it seems they are worse than some third world countries like Eritrea or Afghanistan.

I am not Christian, nevertheless I feel sorry for everyone who is persecuted for any religion and I generally feel sorry for North Koreans. I mentioned this here because I can’t believe that people can praise a country like North Korea, especially at a place where people are taking their Christian faith seriously and constantly say something against communism, even it doesn’t makes sense. But then if it comes to being anti Western nothing of this seems to be bad anymore. Even I think it is ridiculous that many members here are thinking everything which isn’t like USA is communist, real communism like in North Korea is indeed something bad, communism destroys culture and religion. Kim Jong Un is a villain, a fat one.

That would be America's fault, that has aggressively sanctioned the country, and refuse to negotiate peace with them. Kim Jong-Un is a good leader for his people, as far as he can be.

Because if he wasn't strong militarily, the US would have invaded his country already. Everybody knows that. Stop threatening North Korea and they will behave more relaxed.

• The U.S. could have invaded North Korea back in the 90's, but it didn't. North Korea wouldn't test its first nuclear weapon until 2006, China wasn't as militarily strong back then as it is now, and Putin didn't take power until 1999. The U.S. could have invaded North Korea, but it didn't.
• Pakistan isn't wealthy, and I'm sure that the per-capita GDP of India isn't very high. Yet they have both become nuclear powers, and people still get fed.
