Default Corporatism: The Alternative To Both Capitalism And Socialism

In the modern world, the majority of people either support Capitalism and Socialism, and throughout history the followers of these two ideas have clashed numerous times. But what about the third Option, Corporatism? I will be exploring the Origins and Pillars of Corporatism, and explaining why we need Corporatism to combat both Capitalism and Socialism.

The Script for this Video was written by both me and a good friend of Mine, max.

Corporatism is the economic policy of Italian fascism. That stuff didn't work for Mussolini's Italy and it's just nonsense.

Actually: both Rhenish (German) capitalism, the Dutch Polder Model and the Austrian and Finnish consensus models are based on corporatism. The German form. The socalled Soziale Marktwirtschaft.

Corporatism and Fascism meant the state was all powerful and controlled all individuals, be they workers or capitalists. It was based on corporations of which both workers and employers were members supposedly to cooperate for greater good and free unions were not allowed. Nor was there a free market. You had massive state intervention and control of economy, including nationalization of many large companies and state planning of the economy just like the communist five year plans. No wonder the inventor of corporatism and fascism, Mussolini was a former socialist. Long term it doesn't work. You need a free market economy which encourages healthy competition, growth and innovation, but you also need some regulations to protect the rights and interests of employees and consumers. I admire the American Progressives from before the New Deal like Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson and Al Smith. They new you need free market capitalism, but you also need state regulations and intervention when needed. You also need strong and independent unions. Fascists were also about spending lots of money on military and warmongering. They started ww2 for crying out loud! Nazi Germany would have went broke if not for the war and their looting of other countries. Socialism and Fascism are related and are both evils.

That's just one school of it. You haven't watched the videos or looked up the examples I provided.

Bingo. I'd add that social democracy is in many ways corporatism with a smilier and more (socially) liberal face.

Ironically, didn't you used to claim that Ceausescu's regime, which was one of the most repressive Soviet bloc regimes along with Hoxha's Albania and Zhivgov's Bulgaria, was not actually that bad?

So what wars did they start, hm? Ceausescu regime was one of the least repressive communist regimes in reality.

None, but internally it was notorious for its corruption and extreme surveillance, particularly through the Securitate secret police.

And Western states today don't spy on people or punish people for politically incorrect speech. How are hate speech laws democratic?
