French and Dutch are not cool enough anymore? There are some English families in my area. Most of them are purely English, but those which are not have one thing in common. The ethnicity of the father. Hint - it's not Germanic.

Yes, people nowadays blast memes on daily basis, not that much of a film. Can you tell anything about Czech painters of this decade? Most likely not as much as some memes. High culture role gets marginalized or evolves into more obscene, no matter if you like it or not. Cultural impact in aspect of influencingculture of any V4 state remains not so strong. How many Oscars did artists of V4 countries get? Not so many eh, wonder why.
Popularity means nothing. Art is not merely about the number of likes or followers. Oscars or not, artistic prowess speaks for itself.

If something has artisttic prowess is pretty much individual things as we tend to interpret things differently. Popularity means a lot, nowadays it helps you promote the country online, and it can make a country more sympathetic to people

Artistry transcends popularity. Our masterpieces stand strong, leaving a lasting legacy that needs no online fame. And promoting my country among foreigners is the last thing I want.

That's bullshit, artistic prowess -- technique, depth and quality are universal. Popularity among all layers of society doesn't denote quality or worth, but intelligent and cultured people will be able to appreciate a work that has artistic value, regardless of liking and popularity.

Hungary also has excellent cinematography (during communism too) including animated films.

There are very good hungarian movies, the problem is the hungarian directors dont make "international" movies what foreigners can understand. Doesnt matter the english translation or subtitle, these movies are full of such things and references what only these can understand who was born in Hungary and know its popculture/society deep inside. If you dont know it, then these movies are much less enjoyable. This is the biggest curse of hungarian movie industry.
Although the "Son of Saul" won Oscar in Hollywood, or the "Kontroll" became underground cult movie in abroad too.

Hungary, the neighbor. I grew up virtually by the border, so it's an obvious choice because it's the most familiar to me, and there's nothing I particularly dislike except maybe for the lack of the sea.
I have nothing against the other three, they are all fine, but Im also pretty much indifferent, therefore I will only vote for the Magyars. (:
