I really like Swedish, but it's not on the poll. Therefore, it is Russian.

It can only be French, as it had been the lingua franca of Europe and much of the rest of the world for centuries before the ascendancy of English. It is also a beautiful sounding language and has to it's name a great body of major literary works,philosophy etc. Spanish was and is still only relevant in the former Spanish Empire, though in The Philippines it ha been replaced by English much like Dutch has been in Indonesia. Italian was never a major language outside Italy, although classical music and musical theory uses many Italian words and expressions.Good like trying to revive Latin, as even the Catholic Church doesn't make much use of it since Vatican Council II in the 1960s.
Oh an German was only spoken by lots of non-native speakers in the past and to a much lesser extent now, in some parts of the former Habsburg Monarchy.
