Anthrogenica Closure Sad news

Anthrogenica was good at one point it before it became north korea. That forum had some interesting stuff, but I had a feeling it would close down sooner or later.

Very sad to hear about Anthrogenica. I posted there a few times but never really got into it. I think the forum was very serious and the members took themselves way to seriously.

That said, that forum gave me much more knowledge of my own genetic results than the agenda driven answers I was getting here on TA.

So TA is the last man standing, outside of Reddit's r/23andme and r/phenotype, with our boy Sikeliot running the show?

How long do you think TA would last? I don't know if I can see this forum lasting 5 years honestly. It never really recovered from the 2016 purge imo.

Perhaps they ignored or gave too little importance to the human factor and we are nothing but human, they played too much at being great scientists when they were not.

The most users online was 09-20-2019, although we don't know how many were members vs guests and spiders. Also that may not consider all they way back to 2008.

Exactly, I like that Anthrogenica is focused only on genetics and nothing else. There is more liberty on Apricity, though. I know many nice Anthrogenica members who got banned for stupid reasons.

I was banned from Anthrogenica for posting an anti-covid vaccine video.

This was when they had the Atrium section for paying members. There is Gold level and Silver Level. I paid for Silver level, I think it was only $8, to have access to the Atrium which allowed political and religious discussion. They deleted my pro-Trump posts, so I think they are libtards. Then the covid pandemic hit and I posted against the vaccine. My posts were deleted. My last post was a video I saw online from a Texas man's phone of hospital staff forcing him to get the shot against his will. They physically restrained him. It was a heartbreaking video. With no warning from a moderator or the administrator I was banned. My username there was Elizabeth. They eventually removed the entire Atrium section from their forum.

I rejoined Anthrogenica under a new name this year. If they read this they may ban me again.

Was Fairfax Underground was the only other forum you used before The Aprcity? Reddit is technically a discussion platform rather than a traditional forum, so that does not really count.

anthrogenica, anthroscape, forumbiodiversity, dnaforum and more I forgot, ALL gone. Forumbiodiversity once was the place to be for genetics but it was before the ancient dna revolution, it was mostly people talking shit ou of their ass, same as dna forum lol
