Northern Russians have a high Scandinavian haplogroup i1 up to 16% in some northern areas. At the same time, this haplogroup is low among the surrounding Finno-Ugrians. I don't know why some northern Russian calculators determine German autosomes. G25 hides the Germans in the Finns and gives the lowest percentage. MDLP27 gives much higher. The main Russians are very far from the northern Russians. I and all the central Russian - Germans do not have at all. I do not understand why we are one people with northern Russians. How did it happen? Compare Russian Voronezh and Pomors. This is further than the British from the southern Russians, I guess. But still, there is a genetic bridge between northern and southern Russians. And one mentality and self-consciousness.

Interesting the Volga and the Finnic tiny bit in your sig. I know it’s fitting and not about being perfectly literal, but why do you suppose you score those?

I actually do not see any historically corresponding real population to these results among my to be assumed far back ancestry.

Also, me getting 2.4% Volga basin - which btw. is the 12fold (!) amount of what I get Finnic in v2.4 - is not consistent with the results of my parents that together have just 1.0% of it:
