Default The Greek salute not the roman salute?

The so-called "Nazi" salute is primarily the DORIC (Greek) salute to the Rising Sun, a salute through which the human body could draw energetic forces from the Sun, ascending to higher spiritual states and mental fields. This salute, performed with the right hand outstretched, was the most common way of greeting among our ancestors and also symbolized that the greeter in time of war raises his hand to take the weapon to fight and in time of peace to show readiness.

The greeting of the raising of the right hand starts from ancient Greece and more specifically from the Doric and Pelasgian societies. It seems to have first appeared in the rites in which the priests greeted the statues of the gods in this way.
Characteristic of this greeting is that the palm is pointed towards the greeted person. The reason is that in this way the priests showed the purity of their intentions. To do this, they must first have washed their hands thoroughly. At the same time, by greeting in this way, they showed to the gods that they were also mentally pure towards them.

As a rule, don't believe everything shared by people on facebook. You should have at least looked it up on wikipedia.

The Roman salute is a gesture in which the right arm is fully extended, facing forward, with palm down and fingers touching. In some versions, the arm is raised upward at an angle; in others, it is held out parallel to the ground. In contemporary times, the former is commonly considered a symbol of fascism that had been based on a custom popularly attributed to ancient Rome.[1] However, no Roman text gives this description, and the Roman works of art that display salutational gestures bear little resemblance to the modern Roman salute.[1]

There is nothing about ancient Greeks doing it at all.

Hellenism has nothing to do with Nazism.
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Eph. 6:12

Definition of untrustworthy and loose character are those that don't believe in God.

Beginning with Jacques-Louis David's painting The Oath of the Horatii (1784), an association of the gesture with Roman republican and imperial culture emerged. The gesture and its identification with Roman culture were further developed in other neoclassic artworks. In the United States, a similar salute for the Pledge of Allegiance known as the Bellamy salute was created by Francis Bellamy in 1892. The gesture was further elaborated upon in popular culture during the late 19th and early 20th centuries in plays and films that portrayed the salute as an ancient Roman custom. These included the 1914 Italian film Cabiria whose intertitles were written by the nationalist poet Gabriele d'Annunzio. In 1919, d'Annunzio adopted the cinematographically depicted salute as a neo-imperial ritual when he led the occupation of Fiume.

Through d'Annunzio's influence, the gesture soon became part of the rising Italian Fascist movement's symbolic repertoire. In 1923, the salute was gradually adopted by the Italian Fascist regime. It was then adopted and made compulsory within the Nazi Party in 1926, and gained national prominence in the German state when the Nazis took power in 1933. It was also adopted by other fascist, far right and ultranationalist movements.

Since the end of World War II, displaying the Nazi variant of the salute has been a criminal offence in Germany, Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, and Poland. Legal restrictions on its use in Italy are more nuanced and use there has generated controversy.[2][3] The gesture and its variations continue to be used in neo-fascist, neo-Nazi, and Falangist contexts.

This is the painting that appears on both wikipedia and facebook articles and it depicts Romans giving this salute for the very first time. It's the Oath of the Horatii by Jacques-Louis David and you could say that he invented the Roman salute as used by fascists and as known by the general public.

Are you trying to find a justification to salute like a nazi? I bet you will make pictures and videos where you dress like a Greek and make a hitler salute, then you will say it wasn’t. Sometimes I wish the Roma confederation, since you worked for them, would invite you for a conference where you give a speech and you salute like a nazi in the end. And then you would say „don’t worry, it was a Greek salute“.
