If Latin American REALLY wants to get out from the developing status they need to stop depending from the U.S dollar and join Brics (free market) the U.S Is basically responsible keeping Latm the way It Is a super power first world economy the United States would not like having South of the border.

Besides what Sebastianus Rex pointed out, Venezuela has intentions to join Brics. I can assure you they aren't acting like US lackeys.
I don't like the Bolivarian revolution, but at least I give them that credit.
Also, in the many videos I have posted about the current situation in Venezuela, I see too much "savage capitalism" in the stores, supermarkets, and shopping centers all very full of products, with lots of variety and competence, and with lots and lots of people buyng and consuming in there for a country that is supposedly under a "deep comunism".
