Princess Alix de Ligne is the daughter of Prince Michel de Ligne, of the very old European, Belgian noble House of Ligne and of Eleonora of Orléans-Braganza, from the imperial Brazilian family. Alix de Ligne is also the grand-daughter of Princess Alix of Luxembourg and she is the great-granddaughter of Grand Duchess Charlotte of Luxembourg.

What I find interesting is that I share with her, somehow, the same ancestry.

Imperial Brazilian family? I thought that no longer existed.

Yes, this is her mother, Princess Eleonora of Orléans-Braganza and also Princess of Ligne.

But her title doesn't have any legal value in Brazil. It is there a courtesy title.
