    Post BRICS'S 6 new members and de-dollarization

    […] The group said that Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia had been invited to join, and that their membership would begin in January.

    During the summit, Mr. Lula has championed the creation of an alternative trading unit that would ease emerging nations’ dependence on the strong U.S. dollar. Argentina has already begun repaying some of its loans in the Chinese currency, analysts said, though it is unclear how much relief it will gain.nd Saudi Arabia had been invited to join, and that their membership would begin in January. The BRICS group, which encompasses Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, announced the expansion at a summit in South Africa that attracted a level of global interest rarely seen in recent years. The group represents a quarter of the world’s economy and about 40 percent of the world’s population and has increasingly sought to be a counterweight to the dominance of Western-led forums like the Group of 7 and the World Bank.

    […] There has been growing interest in de-dollarization in recent years, as some countries have become concerned about the US government’s ability to impose sanctions on them. China and Brazil recently agreed to manage their trade relationship in their own currencies.

    […] The expansion could also pave the way for dozens more countries to seek admission to the grouping, which has pledged to address their grievances over a world order many feel is rigged against them.

    This is going to be fun: Egypt and Ethiopia are fighting over the Nile and Saudi-Arabia and UAE can't stand each other ! Failed states unite ! (except UAE, but it will be once the oil runs out)

    India and China also have their disputes but the block hasn't dissolved yet. Anyway, it does have its problems and I'm not a fan of all its members' policies (I don't agree with many of Putin's actions for example), but it will be interesting to see what it turns into.

    A complete shitshow. The world's popcorn supply will run out by the end of the year. It will be even more entertaining than Belgian, Italian or American politics.

    There's also the obvious rivaly between Iran and Saudi Arabia but we could say the same about the G7, don't the US and the UK have their clashes with the EU too?

    In fact, France has had some friction even with other fellow Europeans:

    The so called developing country is mainly by geopolitics, unlike France and Germany can get their mess settled, Scotland and England settled. But Russia, China, India, Brazil, South Africa are like a melodrama of medieval Iagos and Othellos, never resolved in mutual hostilities. However, Mexico and Latin America can asslick the US without a blush, eastern Europe the western Europe. The greatest benefit of Russia and China is that our people do not have to lick anyone, but must not lick our own traitors. India, Philippines do you understand this? money, economy, imperialism are just decoys from the true geopolitical merits which you asiatic drains used to trade for your own selfish stupidity.

    Brazil is also a global drain, I trust Africa and muslims more than the rest. The drains can never get their heads clear of the false religions and useless ideologies.

    Majority of citizens here would vote joining BRICS over EU.

    "If they had to choose between joining the BRICS alliance (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) or the European Union, 42.2 percent of citizens in Serbia would vote for BRICS, while 35 percent would vote for the EU;

    Every second citizen of Serbia would certainly vote for entry into BRICS - 51 percent of respondents, 28 percent of respondents would vote for the EU, while only 10 percent would vote for entry into NATO, according to the New Third Way survey presented on Monday in Belgrade."

    Good to know a Chinese's opinion on other members of BRICS. Does your opinion reflect the view of the general population and of the Chinese government and media?

    And Russia seems to have some trust issues regarding China, as it didn't help it as much as expected during the war with Ukraine and there's also the problem with the Eastern territories taken from China in the 19th century.

    Milei has said he will cut some ties with China, will dollarize Argentina's economy and quit Mercosul if elected. There's an exciting future on the horizon.
