To be honest its not really subjective, 99% of peoples associate for eropeans if they hear the"white" word. But i can agree maybe its subjective in America, where many people has mixed ancestry.

This „white“ and „non white“ nonsense was irrelevant in Europe until some years ago. Unfortunately it changed and Europeans adopted ethnic terminology of countries with serious identity issues, I never was crude and used „white“ or „non white“ in real life. You are either German or Greek for me, both are Europeans one are good at science and producing cars and the other one formed civilizations.

We Turks don’t have an identity, we don’t want to be what we are(Middle Eastern) therefore we try to be European. But then we deny this, like Mortimer who regularly posts himself as nazi and spends time on nazi websites but then he says he doesn’t want to be a Nazi. We Turks are the Mortimer of the peoples of the world.

My mistake, usually I use the term sharq. Turks are people of the sharq, but I think the reason why Turks don’t want to be Middlea Eastern is that they dislike Arabs, Persians, other Turks, Armenian and Kurds, I think in this case it is irrelevant whether this term was invented by Brits.
