I have had many good vacations, but my most memorable were:

-French Polynesia the first time (1999 I think, when I was 7)

-Singapore the first time (2010, when I was 18)

-Brazil and Rio de Janeiro the first time (2010)

    -Mumbai and rural India (2012, 2013, 2017)

    -Hong Kong (2013)

    -New York City (2014)

    -Tokyo (2014)

Probably in a study trip we did with the school to Asturias i shared room with my close friends so that was nice, it was funny the trip and we have many jokes about it.

I will always love the Carpathian mountains in Romania; and I also like Alba Iulia and Sighișoara's old centers.
I liked visiting Osimo and Loreto in Italy, and Karlovy Vary in Czech Republic. Kutná Hora is pretty too.

Georgia was surprisingly fun. I didn't expect much out of it but had a blast. Beautiful nature, great for hiking and exploring, laid back and friendly people.

Korea was cool and very action packed, seeing the DMZ and the Gangnam district, chilling on Jeju island. So much hustling that it didn't feel like a vacation though.

From my youth I really loved Italy despite having a cold for most of the three weeks I was there, and Spain was a good time too. Greece was okay, I enjoyed partying in Mykonos but Athens had a weird smell to it at the time. I do like my history so seeing the ruins was kinda dope.

The greatest vacation was also my first overseas trip, to Japan where I witnessed cherry blossoms for first time. I went back a second time to the country and would go there again when given the opportunity. The thing I love most about Japanese culture is how everyone seems so honest and welcoming.

I've never been on vacation. I've been on short trips but I don't think that counts. When I was a kid my Mom was a follower of a guru named Maharaj Ji and we traveled by van with a group of people to Miami Beach, Florida to see him in the convention center. The driver was Dutch. I remember being upset because there was candy in the van's cooler but the woman the candy belonged to wouldn't share it with me. We made a stop in a restaurant in a nice town along the way, where the people were so nice to me that I cried. I asked the waitress where we were and she said Florence, South Carolina. When we got to Florida I saw it raining on one side of the street but not on the other. We took the plane home. Another road trip to see Maharaj Ji with a group of people was to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We all stayed in Ira Einhorn's apartment while he was away. When I was a teenager my Mom and I took a trip from NYC to Florida with her boyfriend. We visited a few tourist sites and my favorite was Vizcaya. I didn't like the hotel we were in. They had a pool but some men were using the pool to practice their diving so I never got to use the pool, and the beach was closed. I don't know why it was closed. We also went to Philadelphia with her boyfriend but I didn't get to see any of the tourist spots because they left me in the rental car. I didn't get along with her boyfriend. When I was 20 I went with my boyfriend to upstate New York for the day once for a county fair. And we went to Pennsylvania in early December 1990. I saw a lot of cows on the way there. My first time seeing cows. He let me use his camera to take photos of the cows that we got up close to but when he developed the film he wouldn't let me see any of the photos. He threw them out. Hershey Park was closed because of rain but we did the "factory tour". He didn't buy me any chocolate souvenirs. We went to Amish country which was creepy to me. We went to an Amish gift shop and he bought wine for his Mom and I bought earrings for me. We made a stop to an Amish pretzel shop where I bought 6 big soft pretzels but when I got back to the car I discovered they were sourdough pretzels. I was so disappointed. I don't like sourdough. I wouldn't eat them. Dan ate one of them. We also went to Gettysburg. They have a platform outside that you have to climb a lot of stairs to get to the top of and it overlooks Gettysburg. While the two of us were up there, just us, a strong gust of wind (it was very cold and very windy) filled up my long black coat and lifted me up and my boyfriend, Dan, grabbed the bottom of my coat and pulled me back down and held onto me. He saved my life. From then on he nicknamed me "The Flying Nun". We also never had sex even though we stayed in the same hotel room. When I was 35, I made a short trip on my own from Florida to NYC where I'm originally from and that was to see a concert at Radio City Music Hall. I didn't enjoy the concert for 3 reasons. 1) I hadn't slept the night before and overslept the night of the concert. Missed the opening act but made it in time for the main act, Keane. 2) I could barely hear anything. It turns out the plane trip affected my hearing. I couldn't hear until I got back to Florida. 3) Everyone was standing up for the concert and I couldn't see the band. I'm short. I did get to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and visit the Empire State building. And that's it.

I've never been to Europe. I used to want to go. My Mom had been to Europe when she was a kid travelling with her parents in the 1950's. Her favorite place was Sorrento, Italy where she remembers celebrating a birthday. Her Mother's favorite place was Rome, Italy, and her Father's favorite place was Helsinki, Finland.

I can't edit to add to my original post so I'm quoting it to add that when I visited NYC in 2005 I also went to Saint Patrick's Cathedral. I also visited another church that was much smaller. I don't remember the denomination. Maybe Methodist.

I was born and raised in NYC but moved out in 1996. 2005 was my only visit back.

I usually travel to Miami once a year since I have family there, as well as good Cuban friends with whom I have a great time. So I can say that my best vacations are every year.
