What is behind the vegan ideology?

Although I live in a mid-size city, it's so filled with first generation rural migrants or peasants, that they some years ago they still brought live animals to slaughter in front or the back of their buildings(usually poultry, but on Easter lambs too). I have a neighbor that used to bring already killed pigs at least once a year and he proceeded to cut up the dead hog in smaller hunks of meat, like some amateur butcher. In the countryside they do this every year, a few days before Christmas.

Hitler was a vegetarian for most of the war and towards the end of his life because he loved animals. He even grossed out people in his entourage with stories of animals being tortured and killed to make steaks of them, in order to get those people to stop eating meat too. Ironical considering the holocaust. Do you think that is a german thing or white thing? I mean extreme animal love? I think third worlders dont give a fuck about animals.

To be honest I dont care for animals, I mean animals which are our food and source of dairy like chickens or cows or pigs. I liked my dogs, cats, etc. and pets. I treated them well and my dog gave me love. I wouldnt torture a animal not a cow or pig either, but I dont care if i kill them and eat them. Does that make me a bad person?

I don't know about loving animals so much that you won't eat meat being a white thing, considering probably hundreds of millions of Hindu Indians(30% of India) and Buddhist Asians are vegetarians or even vegans. It comes from different kinds of modes of thought and from different cultures. And no, I don't think you are bad if you eat meat, as I eat meat too, although I couldn't kill a chicken or pig or anything like that and I suspect you couldn't either.

I don't eat meat but I do eat dairy and eggs etc. I hate what happens to animals in abattoirs. I know that with dairy there are bobby calves. I find it very upsetting and it's odd really as my maternal side were dairy farmers and my paternal side were butchers and they did this for generations.

You can still do a pretty good charcuterie board without the meat.

From what I've seen, southern Romanian food is healthier than Transylvanian food. It seems to be more balanced. Transylvanians eat a bunch of pork, sour cream, cheese, fatty stuff.

Nothing wrong with it if you don't combine it with excessive carbs. Fats are essential, with some proteins (not excessive).

I am vegan but not raw vegan since 15/20 years and pretty chubby (i am even in a tiny over fat period ,but nothing serious),did you know than you could taken proteins from plants like that, than you could find at you local ACTION store for a very low price
