2023 Rugby World Cup

I didn't watched the start of the game. But the last scrum was ridiculous. One south african push almost at 45 degrees and the penality was in favor of south africa.
There are reals problems in terms of referees and it's ot a good adds for the sport.

Rugby is professionnal now, there are videos cameras everywhere during the world cup. All the excuses about "in the south we did not apply the rules in the same way" should not exist anymore. Especially when one week later the same referee didn't took the same decisions.

I was not happy with the referees either, I think Samoa and Fiji each lost the last match because of refereeing, and I've seen some say Fiji's first match as well.
even if that penalty was wrong in the end of the game, the referee had previously given 4 other penalties for England that weren't very obvious either, at least a couple of them, which England put to points. if anything he was wrong both sides but to whoever looked at the entire match I think it was obvious that he made more mistakes against South Africa overall. of course, South Africans won't complain now, that they've won, but they could have lost just because of the refereeing otherwise, and were close to.

the takeaway here is that World Rugby needs a better system for refereeing, for example the video referee to be able to intervene more, as he has all angles.
