I'm very apprehensive. Scotland have the potential to beat either South Africa or Ireland. I think South Africa will top the pool and then it will be either Ireland or Scotland to get through. If Ireland reaches the quarter finals they will face either France or New Zealand. The lopsided draw makes it a very difficult thing to predict. The other side of the draw is wide open and teams have a much easier path to the quarter finals so a much lower ranked team could come up in this World Cup. I'm really interested to see how England vs Argentina goes. England and Wales have the experience so they have a good chance to get to a quarter final. Argentina can beat any team on the day.

France and Japan are in fact the best-paid leagues in the world. The Southern Hemisphere is (arguably) better-quality but with a lot less money.

Moldova region has always been the stronghold of Romanian rugby national team, even moreso in the past - I grew up watching Tincu (IS county), Vladimir Balan (SV county), Gontineac (BT county), Tonitza (VS county) etc

what Romanian rugby fans wish to see is that we score at least 1 try against each big opponent and that Ireland and South Africa don't score incredibly many points, like say 100+, though we'd like to see far less points scored as well

it's funny when you see football fans on here (Romania) not knowing anything about rugby then commenting on the sports newspapers comments section how bad we are at this and what a shame, but they are clueless and only watch it at the world cup, if they do. at least we're in the WC, in football we didn't qualify since 1998.

    Go Oaks!!

I wasn't aware the japanese league paid so well. Some south african pro teams have been participating in a league with a few other european pro teams outside of the french and english leagues. It would be an interesting idea to adapt to football, the big clubs of smaller leagues like Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium,Scotland etc could agree to form a more competitive league that could rival with the 5 big leagues. But football is a much more complicated world, much more money involved.

    Ireland 33 8 Romania 1st half.

3 of the 5 tries could have been easily avoided, collective errors, very slow in the defense Romania. let's see if they can do better in the second half, though it's usually the other way around, because of the effort, last 20 minutes we usually find it hard to run with the ball or think clearly. too bad very easy tries that overshadow the good moments. all in all the score will be the one expected and we scored very nicely in the start, I suppose that's enough from the first game, to the world no. 1 team of the moment. though I fear the 2nd half, a no more than 60-70 points conceded would be a good result for us

It's painful to see the south african jersey. I'am the only one who prefer the classical color?
