    the world's languages word order groups






    Subject–object–verb word order SOV - "Cows grass eat."
    Subject–verb–object word order SVO - "Cows eat grass."
    Verb–subject–object word order VSO - "Eat cows grass."
    Verb–object–subject word order VOS - "Eat grass cows."

    Actually, you can use free order in Russian language.

    Коровы едят траву
    Коровы траву едят
    Траву коровы едят
    Траву едят коровы
    Едят траву коровы
    Едят коровы траву

    + in every of the variants you can point with voice intonation what's the point, like who eats the grass, what do the cows eat, what do cows do with grass etc.

    that's why russian is flexible compared to english that has quite strict word order like german, dutch and such

    Intonation and accenting exact words mean much more than word order. Question, statement and exclamation will be written in the same way, but it's important how you pronounce it.

    Коровы едят траву.
    Коровы едят траву?
    Коровы едят траву!

    So you multiply all my previous variants x3 and you get 18 variants of question, statement and exclamation with different word order, just different voice intonation is required for every of type of Q/S/E.
