Default The Talian language in Brazil

It's originated in Veneto and is spoken in some localities of Southern and Southeastern Brazil. Is it similar to the dialects still spoken in the Northeast of Italy? Does it deviate much from Standard Italian?

Are there many words Italians don't understand? Do Southern Italians find it that different from their dialects?
